Pleasure to announce that the MSc Industrial Polymer Chemistry under the School of Chemistry, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, India

It is our immense pleasure to announce that the MSc Industrial Polymer Chemistry under the School of Chemistry, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, India signed an MoU with Polymerize, the fastest-growing material informatics company in Asia.
Polymerize is an AI-powered material informatics platform that acts as a catalyst in material innovation by accelerating the material fabrication process with desired performance attributes while reducing the associated cost up to 60-65 % and product development time by 30%. Our platform has been widely adopted and extensively used to bring speed, agility, and pinpoint accuracy in R&D sectors for our customers from various material science domains ranging from elastomer, coatings, thermoplastics, and energy storage devices.

Kunal Sandeep (Polymerize’s co-founder) and Dr. Abhijit Salvekar (Polymerize’s co-founder, and also an alumnus of MIT polymer engineering department) added, “It is an honour to get associated with such a prestigious university in India which is a pioneer in the field of polymer science and engineering with an excellent infrastructure and alumni network. Together we will innovate new technologies by giving opportunities to the young and dynamic students of the institute”.

Dr. Vasi Shaikh’s (Professor & Program Head at MIT World Peace University) comments- ”It’s a great pride to be associated with Polymerize, an organization with contributions from our own alumnus Dr. Abhijit. It has already provided a paid-internship opportunity to the deserving student of the MSc Industrial Polymer Chemistry Program at MIT World Peace University. In due course of time, it is planned to take it forward through various activities such as a demo of their innovative platform, a technical event competition for engineering and science students, and providing a free license platform to the students and faculty for academic purposes, etc. Such activities and interactions will surely help in raising the academic standard and research competency of the students.”

Polymerize would be offering numerous opportunities to MIT students. We are keen to sponsor technical events and festivals in the form of Hackathons. The company is looking forward to providing recurring internships to well-deserving candidates, which would provide them with much-needed industry exposure. Along with this, to highlight material informatics and its future scope in academia as well as industrial sectors, Polymerize team would be organizing lecture series and product demonstrations for MIT students, professors, and young researchers.

Polymerize would also be sharing the material informatics platform with the students and research staff to get hands-on experience. The company believes that giving such vital information to students at this early stage will be a great way to introduce them to a powerful tool that will revolutionize the material science industry. Additionally, Polymerize is also keen on helping the institute in designing academic curriculum, workshops, guest lectures, peer-reviewed publications, and live projects.

As an initial step, Polymerize has already recruited Doodeep Gogoi who is working with us as an intern. Looking forward to having more meaningful collaborations with the prestigious university.
